Seattle engineered a remarkable fightback to defeat the Los Angeles Rams in overtime, securing their place in the postseason.

Rallying from a sixteen-point deficit in the final period, the Seattle squad triumphed 38-37 at home, registering their fifth straight victory.

While the Los Angeles had already secured a post-season berth earlier on game day, the Seahawks booked their return to the play-offs after a 24-month absence.

With this result, the Seattle have taken over their Conference race with a 12-3 mark, replacing the Rams, who dropped to the fifth playoff position with an 11-4 standing.

Quarterback Sam Darnold had two picks but recovered to make two touchdown passes, including the tying score to wideout Smith-Njigba in the extra period.

The visitors held a six-point lead at the break before Kenneth Walker III burst through for a long scoring dash for Seattle.

Los Angeles defensive back Wallace then took back Darnold's initial interception for a big return, leading to a one-yard touchdown by Corum on the next play.

In the fourth quarter, a touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Puka Nacua pushed the Rams' lead to sixteen points, but Rashid Shaheed provided Seattle's comeback with a 58-yard punt return.

Darnold then found AJ Barner in the end zone, and a successful conversion sent the game into an extra period.

Although Puka Nacua scored for his another TD in overtime, Smith-Njigba answered in kind to setup the game-winning conversion.
