President Trump Calls Loved Ones of Injured National Guard Soldiers to the Presidential Residence

Former President Trump stated on the weekend that he has invited the loved ones of a National Guard member killed last week to attend the executive mansion.

He added that he conversed with her family and they were “devastated”.

Information on the Devastating Incident

Soldier Sarah Beckstrom, twenty years old, was fatally shot in a attack on Wednesday in the nation's capital.

Her fellow service member, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, remains hospitalized in grave state.

Gatherings across the state have occurred in their remembrance.

Presidential Call

The commander-in-chief stated he’s proposed a White House visit for the loved ones of both members of the state National Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a hard experience, arrive at the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to Sarah,” Trump addressed journalists. “And likewise with him, whether he recovers or not.”

Public Response

Community members gathered over the weekend at the high school in the state to pay respects to Beckstrom.

Both she and Wolfe had been serving with the military unit as part of the president’s federal initiative to aid law enforcement in DC.

Remembering Sarah Beckstrom

“She was the individual that instructors desired. She carried herself with inner fortitude, a bright grin and a optimistic attitude that lifted people around her,” the principal, the principal of her previous school, informed the Associated Press. “She was sweet, considerate and always ready to help others.”

Funeral details for Sarah are still being arranged.

Judicial Actions and Policy Adjustments

Officials have accused a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with a charge of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.

The tragedy caused the government to pause asylum applications and temporarily stop issuing entry permits to holders of travel documents.

Status of Wolfe

Wolfe, a native of the city, began his service in February 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, according to the news agency.

He remains under medical supervision and is “battling to survive”, the state’s leader Morrisey stated on television.

Attorney general Pam Bondi stated on Fox News Sunday that she also intended to speak to the family.

Legacy of Beckstrom

Beckstrom, from Summersville, completed her education from her high school in mid-2023 and enlisted soon after, working as a MP with excellence, per the military.

“She had a lot of kindness and she certainly had fortitude,” Morrisey informed the crowd at the service. “Though her life lasted far too short, she has created a legacy that’s going to endure.”
